Steering is a pretty big deal. Wonder if software update is the answer or the coverup? Hard to say with GM. It took at least 2 tries to get everyone’s ignition spring done to be sure it was correct. And don’t forget they actually sent notices to people who had already been killed by it to come in and get it fixed. Not that either should happen but ill take a seatbelt that might spark a little in an accident over intermittent steering.

Luckily, though, the job is so easy, a toddler could do it (yet another reason to hire Timmy from down the street). I simply loosened the nut and spun the pushrod by hand. The goal was to adjust it so that, when the pedal was resting on its rubber bumpstop, the pushrod should be just on the edge of its plunge, but not applying any pressure to the system.

The 21 m aluminium catamaran will have a capacity of 84 passengers and was designed by Incat Crowther; it will be built by San Francisco-based Bay Ship and Yacht. The vessel has a top speed of 22 knots and will be powered by 360 kW-worth of Hydrogenics fuel cells, alongside lithium-ion battery packs. It will carry a 264 kg tank array of 250-bar compressed hydrogen, allowing for up to two full days of operation. Propulsion will come from two 300 kW shaft motors, while 100 kWh batteries in the vessels hulls will boost power to achieve full speed.
An innovative project in California is testing the suitability of fuel cells for marine use, writes Ed Martin
I remember seeing some old window price stickers from the early 60s showing seatbelts to be a $10 option. Safety equipment is important, the biggest problem I see is getting used to some of it. It took me a long time not to “pump the brakes” in a slippery situation, but now I can’t imagine having a car without ABS
But none of these stories is as unfortunate as Joe Finn’s, because after his airbag went off on his 2018 Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 during mild off-road driving, he said GM refused to pay the repair bill that his insurance company estimated would total $6,512.74 (see below).
The YZ450F shock has new damping and a stiffer shock spring. We thought the stock spring would be too stiff for light riders, but it was an improvement for all size riders. Riders from 140 pounds to over 210 pounds can find their sweet spot in stock trim.
It’s the type of loyalty a sports-car maker would kill for, and an odd sentiment for a vehicle that’s ostensibly made for work, and therefore as a purchase should be subjected to a flinty sort of cost-benefit analysis.
In 2012, about 15,000 miles ago, the previous owner dropped a staggering $2,300 on the following jobs:
