Technology marches on, and it’s rarely taken so big a step as from the old V6 to the new turbo four-cylinder engine. Chevy’s people said they expect about 10 percent of trucks to be equipped with the turbo, but we wouldn’t be surprised if it was much higher. The 2.7-liter engine is being manufactured now in Chevy’s Spring Hill, Tennessee, plant.
