The investigation into the issue started back in January of this year, when Harley became aware of an incident in Korea where a crash occurred but no injuries were reported. Brembo and Harley started a joint-investigation the following month, and the NHTSA’s recall team did the same in April.
UltraSonic park assist uses an array of four ultrasonic sensors mounted on the rear bumper – two on each side of the rear license plate cutout. The system provides “distance-to-object” and object location alerts to help the driver park and avoid hitting nearby objects or walls during low-speed backing.
10. High-pipes help complete the Scrambler look, and they serve a purpose. Modern Bonnevilles sound good, but this is the way the 270-degree crank parallel-twin’s tune was meant to be heard. Their size, along with the battery box on the opposite side, does bow your legs a bit when standing on the footpegs. However, that means squeezing the bike when riding off-road is incredibly easy. The high-pipes will tend to roast when sitting at stops; however, when the temperature dropped, and the rain came down, I was glad to have the extra heat.

Rolling the throttle on won’t be met with disaster, as riders will quickly come to terms with the 1200—they’ll be reveling in it with roosts of approval.

This can be attributed to the heavier plastic airbox, ice cream cone-shaped restrictor in the muffler and thicker brake rotors. It is 17 pounds lighter than the heaviest bike in the shootout (Suzuki RM-Z450).
