Reducing carbon emissions is a bigger challenge but the most obvious way to achieve this is by developing engines with greater fuel efficiency, as this reduces both carbon emissions and costs for customers.
Having a lane departure warning alert you that you are drifting out of a lane and possibly into an empty ditch by the side of the road does diddly-squat to protect others, but can sure help you and your medical/insurance bills out.
The water pump leaking is just another problem that the Chevy Silverado 1500 has had. The water pump is a very important part for your car and helps pumps coolant through your engine and back to the radiator to be cooled off. Signs of a leak can be fluid under your car dripping while on or off, overheating and your car smoking from under the hood. If the water pump fails it can also lead to melting nearby plastic components causing a fire or causing your engine to completely fail. According to Cars, Chevy will fix this issue for Silverado owners.
Most blind spot system have an amber light in the mirrors that should be visible in your peripheral vision. That should be enough to warn you if something is in your blind spot without having to take your eyes off the road.
That, therefore, suggests that whomever is replacing your tires is not installing those sensors correctly… permitting air to leak through an un-sealed thread connection on the valve stem. Are they not supposed to put some form of plumber’s tape or thread sealant on the screw portion before installing them? The corrosion you were experiencing could be galvanic corrosion between different metals (aluminum to steel, for instance.) A thread sealer should prevent that corrosion.
Before you ask, the Colorado’s brother – the 2019 GMC Canyon – also gets the rear parking sensors described here, but we will cover that in a separate piece.
Nothing against GM, and I hope they get it dangerous issue fixed for real this time, but that is the most God awful picture of a Chevy. I have never seen a more hideous color or sick looking truck.
11. Triumph pulled out all the stops when it comes to braking on the Scrambler 1200 XE. Dual Brembo M50 calipers clamp onto 320mm floating rotors and, in the case of the XE, mates with a radial Brembo MCS master cylinder that features span and ratio-adjustment allowing you to get virtually any feel from the brakes you wish. The XE has extraordinary stopping power—it is the identical setup to the Street Triple 765 RS. In the rear, a dual-piston caliper works with a 255mm disc and is easily modulated. Additionally, the XE model has an adjustable rear brake lever.
I also see that the headlight switch and oil pressure sender was swapped out 12 years and about 30,000 miles ago. Thank goodness, because I hate chasing down electrical gremlins:
