WhisperPower founder and chief executive Roel ter Heide said: As electric propulsion systems need more and more power, a back-up or extra energy system is becoming increasingly necessary.
My neighbor had a 2011 Ford Edge and had the brake booster failure issue. Dealership wanted to charge him bc vehicle was out of warranty. I did research for him and had him contact Ford. Ford did eventually pay him back after he went through 4 of those boosters! He finally after 4th one traded it off for an Acadia Denali.
(1/tie) KTM 450SXF and Husqvarna FC450. The KTM 450SXF has had the best brakes for years. Brembo’s 260mm front rotor used to be the biggest rotor, but Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki and Kawasaki tried to catch up by one-upping KTM with 270mm rotors. Guess what? The bigger rotors do make their brakes more powerful, but at the expense of modulation. The 2019 Husqvarna FC450 has the same brakes as the KTM 450SXF, save for thicker GSK brake rotors (front and rear). Husky opted for strength over weight because of its enduro clientele.
The rear shock is on the stiff side and overpowers the stock soft front forks, especially under hard braking—which aggravates the front more than the rear. The fix is to leave the rear shock alone and stiffen the forks.

Then there’s the CarbonPro cargo box, very much a solution looking for a problem (unless I’ve simply been deaf to years of complaints that a steel truck bed is somehow not sturdy or durable enough). This features the same sort of shapable forged carbon fiber found on the Lamborghini Huracán Performante; it reduces weight by 62 pounds—about how much the MuliPro tailgate adds, incidentally—and is, according to GMC, very durable. "Best-in-class dent, scratch and corrosion resistance," they say. It will also be, according to GMC, very expensive: while final pricing wasn’t announced for the late-availability option, it was suggested the CarbonPro bed would cost several thousands of dollars. There’s no way that "extra" capability tracks with the price, but in terms of truck-guy bragging rights, GMC has clearly pegged a significant number of owners willing to pay exorbitantly to be able to say, "Check out my carbon-fiber truck bed!" But if you want one, you’ll need to get your hand raised early: the carbon-fiber is labor-intensive and time-consuming to make, and there is a hard production limit per year from the lone supplier.
There were moments during MXA’s several-month-long 450 shootout period when the 2019 Kawasaki was the front runner for first place. It is by far the most improved bike of 2019. Every test rider enjoyed the deceivingly fast engine, light-feeling chassis, clean ergos and nice design touches, but, and this is a big but, it is a “first-year model.” First-year models always have teething problems, and the more we raced the 2019 KX450, the more the problems came to the surface. Those problems began to sap our enthusiasm for the Kawasaki KX450. Even though we still liked it, we liked it less and less when the clutch kept burning through plates (hydraulic or not), the over-size rear brake locked up at the least opportune times, the forks bottomed because of the soft fork springs, the bottom chain roller self-destructed, and we realized the airbox design was convoluted. There is one caveat to all of this. If you feel that you can live with the flaws, chase down solutions and stay on top of the maintenance, then go for it. It is the lightest of the Japanese-built bikes.
Parking sensors have been a much-request feature since the launch of the second-generation Colorado for the 2015 model year, and we’re glad to see Chevy adding it. Though definitely useful and welcome, all Colorado models come with a standard rear view camera, and some might find the addition of the parking sensors at the rear somewhat redundant.
The scorched 3-4 clutches (right) are what typically fail in a 700R4 if the TV cable is not adjusted properly. Thousands of innocent 700R4’s have died because of poor TV cable tuning.
The clutch pedal felt perfect during the test-drive – and I only moved the adjustment rod approximately 2 mm. Final (or settling in) adjustments are more about feel than instructions.
