Q: I own a 2012 Chevy Suburban with 71,000 miles that I have owned since new. Recently I went through a local car wash and when I came out the other side, my dash starting displaying “Service Traction Control” and “Service Stabilitrak” messages. After displaying these messages, it will then display “Traction Off” and “Stabilitrak Off.” The anti-lock braking system light also comes on when the engine is running. It doesn’t appear to have affected the engine in any way, nor has it affected the four-wheel-drive system. I’m thinking it’s some kind of sensor somewhere that somehow got wet in going through the car wash, but that is only speculation on my part. Any suggestions, ideas and/or solutions would be much appreciated.

For 2019, Yamaha finally fixed its front-end wiggle. If you think Yamaha designed a new frame, you are wrong. In fact, there are no changes to 99.9 percent of the 2019 Yamaha YZ450F. The 0.1 percent change is to the wheel collars and the front axle lugs. Yamaha fixed the wag, wiggle and wander by stiffening the connection to the front wheel. Nothing more! Always stable at high speed, the bike can now turn in. 

I also see that the headlight switch and oil pressure sender was swapped out 12 years and about 30,000 miles ago. Thank goodness, because I hate chasing down electrical gremlins:

17. A new, easy to read, modernized dash adorns the 2019 Triumph Scrambler XE. The second-generation TFT display is easy to read and navigate, thanks to the joystick controls on the left. A little bit of poking around will get you going in the right direction. There are three layouts for the dash with various quantities of information displayed. They can be viewed in low- or high-contrast mode. With an accessory Bluetooth module, riders will be able to control their GoPro cameras or pair their phone to the dash and use Google Maps for turn-by-turn directions.

We could also really feel the difference in suspension and steering response between the 2018 and 2019 models. Short recommendation: If you’re considering a new truck this year, wait for the 2019s before you make a decision.
