Massive, expensive, content-rich and thirsty: so it goes in the full-size truck market, on and on forever—until gas hits five bucks a gallon, anyway.
But this wasn’t a freak incident, and Matt’s video isn’t the only one proving as much. That clip he posted got lots of folks talking about this issue, bringing to my attention a number of other cases of Colorados blowing their airbags while off-road. Just look at the video above that someone posted in the comments of Matt’s clip.
Sometimes when the car was in park and the parking brake wasn’t used, the gear would slip into neutral and start rolling.
Where is tnt, gms and papa??? You guys are all over the ford recalls, which have no crashes or injuries, yet you say great job GM???? You are happy people got injured in these lackluster trucks? Wow, government motors and their fans are worse than the rest of us thought…..

Honestly I think MORE intrusive is probably better for most drivers. A very talkative friend of mine bought a new Subaru Forester with all the safety nannies. We took a road trip and she was constantly talking with her hands, looking over at her audience for validation, etc. The nannies were beeping at her every few seconds to stay in her goddamned lane and she seemed utterly oblivious to them. Don’t beep, car, just keep the damn vehicle between the lines.
Based on WhisperPowers Genverter principle, the speed of the generator is adjusted to the most efficient speed, resulting in minimised fuel consumption, noise, vibration and exhaust emissions. Only 295 g of fuel is consumed per kWh of electricity and the noise level is 54 dB at a distance of seven metres.
It’s the type of loyalty a sports-car maker would kill for, and an odd sentiment for a vehicle that’s ostensibly made for work, and therefore as a purchase should be subjected to a flinty sort of cost-benefit analysis.

The PPU 330 update includes a shaft generator regulation feature. Without this feature, the process of shifting shaft generators requires a complex process of starting up a diesel generator and synchronising and deloading the first shaft generator, before synchronising to the second. The new feature allows the second shaft generator to start synchronising while the first is still running, saving time and reducing running hours of the diesel generator, consequently reducing fuel consumption and maintenance requirements.
In 2017 GM recalled almost 49,000 truck all over the world to mend the fuel tank problem that would increase the risk of fire. One of those recalled included the Sierra 3500. USA Today reports indicated that the low-fuel-level sensor in front tank could stick and cause the rear tank to over-fill the front tank.
My Traverse tester was powered by a 3.6-liter V6 delivering 310 horsepower and 366 lb.-ft. of torque. The engine is mated to a capable 9-speed automatic transmission that was easily in charge of the large SUV in every level of performance. Look for decent fuel economy ratings at 18/27 mpg for the V6. If you want turbo, a 2.0-L turbocharged 4-cylinder is also available (255 hp and 295 lb.-ft. torque).
