Quick take: Like all new full-size pickups, the Sierra has an impressive mix of capability and comfort, and plenty of high-dollar options for the truck buyer who wants to spend. But the brand messaging is muddled; is GMC "Professional Grade," or best known for making more upscale, luxurious pickup trucks than its downmarket sibling, Chevy? Of course, truck loyalists tend not to be bothered by such philosophical questions, and those who already have their hearts set on a new Sierra will find a lot to like.
(3) Yamaha YZ450F. Of all of the Big Four clutches, the Yamaha’s is the best. It lasts longer, works better, slips less and can take more abuse than the Honda, Kawasaki or Suzuki clutches. If you are a clutch abuser, consider running stiffer clutch springs (in whatever number suits the feel you are looking for).
Chevrolet S-10 has been on the roads for quite long time and this has led build-up of its miles and reduction of its reliability. These are one of those trucks that you would not want to buy a used considering the problems it comes with. It can be acquired at an affordable price but the problems is that their owners might end up spending a lot of money in repairs and maintaining it on road. Instead going for this truck it would be better to splash more cash upfront for a truck that is less costly to maintain.
So you think it’s A-okay or moral to force a bunch of people’s paid-for older but functioning cars off the road and put them into debt because the only way you will feel that your family is adequately safe on the road is if everyone is driving cars with blind spot monitoring and whatever else? Get a grip man. The narcissism knows no bounds!
Not trying to refute anything said here, after all, I’ve had my own bad experience with ABS on glare ice (which is really harder to see than ‘black ice.’) I do know that in the case of systems like Electronic Stability Control (or whatever a given brand calls it), you do have the ability to turn it off under certain conditions… usually at speeds below 35mph, though. As such, is there anything in your owners’ manual that suggests the system can be turned off temporarily?
The MXA test riders didn’t mind riding the 2019 Suzuki RM-Z450, but not a single test rider would choose to race it. It is the heaviest, slowest and twitchiest bike on the track. It makes the least horsepower, has a marginal clutch and the worst rear shock—even its kickstarter design has flaws (it is way to high). The best thing about the 2019 RM-Z450 is the way the power is delivered. It is spot-on in the middle. It makes the meager output much more effective and usable than the numbers would predict. As a budget racer, it features the lowest out-the-door price of all the 2019 450s. Conversely, it has the lowest resale value.
The GMC Canyon compact pickup truck returned to the market with a new design in 2015 after a two-year hiatus. The Canyon and Sierra are like twins and they have almost the same problems. The older models of Canyons come with electrical and brake issues. The 2015 GMC Canyon was fitted with a dodgy automatic transmission that downshifts roughly.
This sort of “muh children” argument to saddle everyone around you (potentially involuntarily) with every kind of extra cost or restriction is kind of insane. At some point we just accept that certain things are out of our control. You want to cocoon yourself and your family in a super safe vehicle that will keep you on the road and minimize risk of injury in an accident? Fantastic. Wishing for some kind of magic control over other peoples’ cars to prevent “boy racers” from breaking the speed limit or whatever the implication is, absolutely insane.
Considering the main difference between the Sierra and the Silverado are all expensive options—advanced materials, suspension technology, and a gimmicky but undeniably clever tailgate—I expected more of a differentiation inside; I wanted something that felt elevated from a "regular" truck. The new 3×7" multicolor head-up display and rearview camera mirror are nice tech touches, but don’t quite do the trick. It’s not quite there.

Totally agree with you. Unacceptable by GM. They need to take care of the issue. IDC if it saves them a billion dollars. It looks bad when lives are on the line.
The same deactivation technology is present on the optional 6.2-liter V8. Take note that the dynamic fuel management system is present because youâll never notice it in operation. Youâll forget it exists five minutes after you get in the Silverado.
