The scorched 3-4 clutches (right) are what typically fail in a 700R4 if the TV cable is not adjusted properly. Thousands of innocent 700R4’s have died because of poor TV cable tuning.
The next step was to adjust the master cylinder’s pushrod. If it’s not adjusted properly, the clutch might not disengage when I push the pedal down, and it might still apply pressure to the clutch hydraulics when my foot is completely off. So it’s really important that the pushrod is adjusted properly.
Today’s front-drive cars to me are actually more difficult to handle in snow and ice, even though they have the ability to pull themselves out of trouble (cart behind the horse, vs the pusher drive of the older cars with the horse behind the cart. Think about it.) I got used to feeling the tail try to swing and bringing it back in line; front drive cars you have to do almost the exact opposite and add a touch of throttle to try and pull the car into line.
As per all statistics occupants of vehicles with modern safety features are less likely to die in a collision.
To obtain class-action certification of a lawsuit, the judge says a plaintiff bears the burden of proving the class of owners and lessees meets a four requirements, but in this case the plaintiff failed to do that.
16. The XE has heated grips. They’re a great feature to have while riding in cold, rainy conditions, which we experienced. Handguards are standard.
The rear design and corresponding rear view in our truck/crossover/high-beltline sedan world is appalling. My ’17 Golf has excellent rearward visibility for a modern car, but it sure as hell isn’t my 88 Acura Legend. I still swivel my head and check, but it’s hard to see out the back of most vehicles anymore.

(3) KTM 450SXF. The KTM 450SXF’s power pulls longer than any other engine on the track. It is ultra manageable and gets progressively faster as the rpm climb. It is unimpressive from low to mid, but meters out the power so that it is more usable over a longer time frame. It makes 57.14 in stock trim and 58.14 with holes drilled in the airbox cover.
I will say that while driving a winding 2 lane road on a wet rainy night I would hope that even Ayrton Senna would not pass another vehicle that was doing the speed limit and would follow speed limit and advisory speed signs. That is because I or another driver might be coming the other way and even a near miss would spoil both our days.
Asked about the spate of similar Chevy Colorado airbag deployment complaints, a Chevrolet spokesperson said: “We are aware of this situation happening on rare occasions. The reason it would occur is that head-curtain airbags are designed to deploy if the sensing system predicts that the vehicle is about to roll on its side.“
The system is activated when the Colorado is put into reverse gear and is traveling below 5 mph (8km/h). While backing up under these conditions, the driver is alerted to a potential impact via the vehicle’s driver information center (DIC, pictured below), which shows the location (left, right or center) for rear-detected objects close to the vehicle. The system also delivers a series of audible beeps depending on the distance of the vehicle and a detected object.
