Us Lake Wobegone types, on the other hand — every one of us an above-average driver — can just turn ’em off.
There is little doubt that R&D in engine technology has been driven by the continual upgrading of emissions legislation over many years. While there is variation from country to country, regulations are being tightened worldwide to reduce particulate and NOx pollution, while also minimising carbon emissions. This has resulted in a range of technological advances that are making vehicles both cleaner and more efficient.
This allegedly causes contamination of the hydraulic fluid and the contamination causes the internal and external seals of the clutch master cylinder and clutch slave cylinder to swell and fail.

Hooker Blackheart Shorty Headers for CTS-V Hooker’s Blackheart line of headers continually pushes the performance boundary, and these shorty headers are sure to wake up the 6.2L engine under the hood of a 2009–2015 CTS-V. They are made from 304 stainless steel with the mandrel-bent primary tubes measuring in at 1-7/8 inches. These are a direct replacement for the factory manifolds, as they retain the stock oxygen sensor location and catalytic converter. Maximum gains on the dyno range from 18.85 to 20.49 hp. All of the hardware is included, and Hooker also includes a limited lifetime warranty. Price: $849.95Hooker Blackheart 866.464.6553holley.com/brands/hooker_blackheart
The main thing youâll notice about the 2019 Silverado is that itâs whisper-quiet inside when youâre driving. Itâs not just quiet for a truck; itâs the kind of quiet cabin luxury automakers strive for and generally donât achieve. Even on rough pavement, you have to turn everything off and listen carefully to hear noise from the tires. There are a few features to thank for that. First, the frame and the suspension have been updated for a smoother ride, plus all the engine mounts are hydraulic. Chevrolet also made new cab mounts. Mission accomplished.
Parking sensors have been a much-request feature since the launch of the second-generation Colorado for the 2015 model year, and we’re glad to see Chevy adding it. Though definitely useful and welcome, all Colorado models come with a standard rear view camera, and some might find the addition of the parking sensors at the rear somewhat redundant.
Without the “safety features” I would have carried across the sunny patch with no problems, instead I completely lost control of the vehicle and only avoided a crash because the road was empty. Needless to say, all the “safety” BS got turned off right away.
I love GM and I buy mostly GM products, but sometimes I question their speed and intelligence. Glad to see they are finally listening to owners in some ways, but it’s been since 2015 with almost no changes! They still haven’t moved the (expletive) 4×4 knob, or created an indicator on the dash or DIC that shows your drive mode in non-zr2 trucks! (Something my 1987 Jeep has) I really hope they make interior updates such as this for the 2020 trucks, it was clear someone who has never used a 4×4 truck designed the dial location from their desk and not in the real world. The amount of time’s I’ve had to feel for the switch into 4×4 in a quick moment and turned my headlights off, drives me insane. Nor does my wife (who rarely drives my truck) have the time to look below the steering wheel (eyes off the road!) and figure out which way to turn the knob) Ok rant off…
If this were a 125 or 250F shootout, horsepower would trump everything else. In the little bike classes, power is the most important factor in choosing a winner; however, in the 450 class, it is less important. By no means is it the least important factor, but power placement often overrides power output. So, if we used the 125/250F shootout criteria on the 450 shootout, the 2019 Honda CRF450 would be the hands-down winner. For any rider who is looking for sheer power, the CRF450 has it. It is the only 2019 450 engine to crack 60 horsepower on the dyno. Those would have been factory engine numbers a few years ago. Best of all, the Honda doesn’t give up usability to reach for the sky. The 2019 CRF450 produces great power from bottom to top. The 2019 Honda engine gets an almost 3 horsepower head start on every other bike.
In old-school driving, PJ, pumping didn’t mean, “stab the brake as rapidly as possible,” it meant to “threshold brake until you feel the traction let go, release the brakes and do it again–as often as necessary to come to a safe stop.” Granted, some people could never learn that lesson but some could and did. You also learned more about steering and throttle to try and maintain control, even in a slide, since most cars were RWD at the time.
