Rival Ford has offered downsized turbocharged engines for years on its F-150 to improve fuel economy, but now Chevy is taking the concept even further. The standard engine on LT and RST trim levels is a 2.7-liter turbocharged inline-four, making the Silverado the only full-size truck available with a four-cylinder engine. Q: I own a 2012 Chevy Suburban with 71,000 miles that I have owned since new. Recently I went through a local car wash and when I came out the other side, my dash starting displaying “Service Traction Control” and “Service Stabilitrak” messages. After displaying these messages, it will then display “Traction Off” and “Stabilitrak Off.” The anti-lock braking system light also comes on when the engine is running. It doesn’t appear to have affected the engine in any way, nor has it affected the four-wheel-drive system. I’m thinking it’s some kind of sensor somewhere that somehow got wet in going through the car wash, but that is only speculation on my part. Any suggestions, ideas and/or solutions would be much appreciated.

Basically yes, that seat belts are to my mind 99% nanny control. They like to use excuses like Think of the children or What if you give a ride to someone else, but it’s the same mindset that bans smoking in cars because kids might someday ride in them.
